Uttam Gada, the man who had written the original script, titled Udaan, is livid. Apparently, Shah has changed almost 80% of the original script. And the final result is that, the movie comes across as cheap. What infuriated Gada further is that Shah has credited him. The scriptwriter does not want to be responsible for toilet talk in the film. He wants his name to be removed from the credits.
To further prove his point, Gada has posted his script on his website, www.uttamgada.com, so that people can compare the two. In fact, Uttam Gada had expressed his displeasure when the film was being shot. However, he was told by Shah, that his work as a scriptwriter was over once he submitted the script. He has written a letter to Shah, voicing his anger on the issue. A well known name is the theatre circuit, Uttam Gada has written 21 plays, so far.
