Security beefed up for Salman Khan in UP

Crowds thronging location where popular Bollywood celebrities are shooting their films is nothing new. In the past we have heard of industry folk being quite literally surrounded by ardent fans, who more often than not create unintentional commotion holding up or delaying the shoot schedule. Well, now we hear that security for Salman Khan has been beefed up while the actor will be shooting for Sultan in UP.

In fact we hear that a 1000 member strong police contingent has been deployed by the Uttar Pradesh government for the actor’s protection while shooting for Sultan in Muzaffarnagar. Further we also hear that the UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is overseeing the security measures and has given the police strict instructions to avoid taking snapshots with the star or even shaking hands with him.

Though Salman Khan arrived on location in the village of Bihargarh in Morna Tehsil of Muzaffarnagar late on Tuesday night, crowds had already thronged the location awaiting his arrival. While the deployed police force managed to keep the crowds at bay, they also restricted access to the road leading to the farm house where Salman would be put up to only the film crew.

As for the film, Sultan that features Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Produced by Yash Raj Films Sultan is slated to release on July 6, 2016.
