Almost everyone in Yerawada Central Jail will always cherish the fond memories of the prisoner number 'C-16656', as it was the 'identity' of none other than everyone's affable Munnabhai aka Sanjay Dutt. Like all the inmates of the prison, Sanjay Dutt too was busy in activities like making cane items, paper bags and even radio jockeying.
Besides all these 'regular' activities, what made Sanjay Dutt apart from others is the fact that, he had penned down his life experiences which has now assumed the shape of a book. Reports have it that, whilst in the prison, Sanjay Dutt had penned over 500 'shers' (couplet) along with two other inmates, which he now plans to release in the form of book titled 'Salaakhen'.
Speaking to a leading media agency, Sanjay Dutt said that he, along with his fellow inmates Zeishan Qureshi and Sameer Hingle wrote 500 shers in Hindi, of which he had penned down around 100, which surprises him as well. He also cited an instance when Manyata visited him in jail and she was having fever, he penned the following 'Aankhon mein nami thi, badan tap raha tha, phir bhi hoton pe hasi thi aur baaton mein pyaar tha... Aapko dekh ke dukh hua par khushi bhi hui, ussi khushi ke saath paigam bhi tha ke aap mujhse mohabbat karte ho'.
