According to the verdict passed on August 20, Sanjay Dutt would be arrested as soon as he got a copy of the judgment. With respect to the same, Sanjay was given the copy of the TADA court judgment yesterday and was arrested soon after. Sanjay had lunch with his family and Manayata; and bid them farewell. After which he arrested. He was detained in Arthur Jail and then was taken to Pune. Sanjay Dutt has two alternatives for future, to either appeal to the Supreme Court against the TADA court judgment, or appeal to the apex court for interim bail. The lawyers have decided to appeal to the Supreme Court. However, Sanjay is likely to serve six years in jail. He had been talking to his US based daughter Trishala since Sunday.
