Aamir Khan, who has been known to stay away from controversies, seems to have decided to speak out on the recent Salman Khan controversy. Reacting to the question on what he thought about Salman Khan’s statement on feeling like a raped woman, Aamir Khan, at the press conference for the unveiling of the poster of Dangal, finally broke his silence.
Commenting on the same Aamir Khan said, “I am going by the media reports, I feel what he said was unfortunate and insensitive. Who am I to advise him.” Further talking about Salman Khan’s Sultan and his Dangal being films on the same lines, Aamir added, “I haven’t noticed similarities with Sultan. Only wrestling is common, exciting film & looks amazing. Hope it’s a huge success.”
Later talking about Dangal, Aamir added, “The whole thought of Dangal is that there should be a gender equality, fighting against all odds. It’s a very inspiring story.”
Dangal, whose poster released today, tells the story of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is slated for release on December 23.
