A few weeks ago, this writer broke the news of Vikram Bhatt contemplating starting a film with Dino Morea, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in the lead. But the director of RAAZ and AWARA PAGAL DEEWANA decided against going ahead with the project. Meanwhile, it is learnt that Rohit Kumar, the producer of AAP MUJHE ACHCHE LAGNE LAGE, is planning to start a film with the same combination, to be directed by Rohit himself, before he starts a biggie with cousin Hrithik Roshan next year. Gautam Kumar, Rohit's elder brother, did not deny the development outright when this writer called to verify the news. Yes, Rohit did think of casting them for a project, but the price they [stars] generally quote is not feasible, he divulges. Which is true, considering the fact that most producers find their balance sheet in the red at the time of the film's release, mainly due to the exorbitant amounts paid to the so-called stars. Coming back to Rohit's film, the makers had earlier signed Manoj Bajpai for one of their productions, so there's a possibility of Manoj starring in this film along with a new lead pair. Well, as of now, everything is in the deciding stages. The only thing confirmed is the script, Gautam states. It may be recalled that together with Hrithik, Rohit had assisted Rakesh Roshan in a number of films, before Rohit turned actor and later, producer.
