With the celebrations of Ganesh festival coming to an end last evening, the streets of Mumbai were flooded with public and an unexpected downpour. Amidst the chaos, the famous Khandaan of Bollywood, the Kapoors too were on the street for the visarjan (immersion) of their idol and it resulted in a friction of sorts between Rishi Kapoor and the media present at the location.
A group of press was present on the streets of Mumbai to cover the 'visarjan' ceremony and several Bollywood celebrities who still perform the ceremony in the traditional manner were spotted going towards the beach to immerse the idol. During one of those coverages, Rishi got miffed with the cameras constantly pointing at his family and got into a brawl in a bid to stop them. Reacting to the way the video went viral in media circuits and thereby publically, an upset Rishi Kapoor decided to talk about how frustrating it was to have media in a crowded location during the visarjan.
Stating that he is ashamed about the way the video has been interpreted, Rishi added that it is unfair because the media misbehaved with him and his family. Revealing that every year they have had a grand visarjan ceremony with thousands of people dancing and visiting the idol during the last day of the festival, Rishi also spoke about the weather hazards as an unexpected rainfall only added to the woes of crowded streets. Further explaining that these had already resulted in him losing his temper, several small time journalists started crowding him and poking the camera on his face which miffed him even more. While he does maintain that it wasn't the media's fault who also got excited with Ranbir's presence during the ceremony, he made no qualms in maintaining that the media was present there because their family was important and also accused them of misinterpreting the entire situation.
