RGV denied permission to shoot at CST

Department failed to work at the B.O. and instead the film garnered stark criticism from the industry and audience alike. However, director Ram Gopal Varma isn’t fazed. Ramu is all set to work on his next which is based on the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks and which may perhaps be his most controversial film till date. The filmmaker was at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), seeking permission to shoot some scenes depicting the attacks of 26/11.

It was somewhere in the afternoon yesterday when RGV and his team went to meet the railway officials from the public relations department. However, the Central Railway (CR) authorities denied permission and have now asked him to approach the Railway Board in Delhi.

Apparently, the reason behind CR denying Ramu the permission to shoot is that the management wants to refrain from gory images as the incident still holds sad memories for the nation.

It was right after the attacks that RGV had courted controversy when he visited the terror-ravaged Taj Mahal hotel after the terror strike, with the then Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and his son Riteish Deshmukh.
