It's a known fact that producers think twice before releasing their films in the first week of January, since films released in that particular week have met with a disastrous fate at the box-office. And now comes the news that E. Niwas, director of DUM, decided to wait till next year to release the film, since he considers the year 2002 unlucky for the film industry. So many films have flopped this year, Niwas states, Which is why I decided to schedule the release of DUM in January next year. Hopefully, the situation should improve next year. Now we know why DUM is scheduled for release in 2003.
