Raveena Tandon has become choosy vis-?is her film assignments. And the awakening could be attributed to the National Award for her sterling performance in DAMAN. Raveena's had enough of running-around-trees roles, which didn't give her much scope to display histrionics. The actress is now trying her hand at a wide gamut of roles that showcase her talent to the fullest. I am trying to balance between commercial and meaningful cinema, Raveena reveals. But the film she's most excited about is Madhur Bhandarkar's SATTA, which is reportedly inspired by the Sanjeev Kumar Suchitra Sen flick AANDHI. I wouldn't call it a copy of AANDHI but, yes, it does fall in that genre, she clarifies. Will SATTA do for Raveena what CHANDNI BAR did for Tabu, is to be seen. But there's no denying the fact that the 'Mast Mast' girl is out to prove that she's a 'mast mast' actress.
