Rani Mukherji is enacting a character role based on Pakistani human rights activist and well-known lawyer Asma Jehangir in Yash Chopra's untitled film.
The movie also stars Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Manoj Bajpai in lead roles apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in guest appearances. According to sources, the movie talks about the trauma of Indo-Pak partition. In true Yashraj tradition, it's an emotional love story.
