It was only a month ago when Rakhi Sawant's film Ek Kahani Julie Ki trailer was unveiled. The film was sent was certification and got 'A' certificate. This angered Rakhi Sawant and she slammed the board for it.
Rakhi Sawant accuses CBFC of briberyDuring the press tour, Rakhi Sawant recently accused Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairman Pahlaj Nihalani of taking bribes for film certification. She said that the censor board should be shut down as they took money from big banners and teased the poor producers. She accused board members of openly asking for a bribe and taking unnecessary advantage of their position. She called them incompetent and uneducated.
Rakhi Sawant threatened that she will get inside Pahlaj Nihalani's house and pull him down from his chairman's chair. She said that if he didn't know how to work then he should resign and she will be happy to take his place. She thinks she could do the job better and won't be biased and categorize producers according to their banners.
Apparently, Rakhi Sawant's upcoming film was given 'U/A' certificate which later was changed to 'A'. Continuing her rant, she said that because they didn't give CBFC any money and that was the reason the certificate was changed. She also mentioned that maybe they can't digest the fact that an item girl had managed to become an actress.
Rakhi Sawant tried to justify her point by slamming Sunny Leone once again. Rakhi said that she is India's daughter, a Bollywood star, an actress and an item girl at least, not a porn star. She talked about how Sunny's Ek Paheli Leela has issued a U/A certificate that had all kinds of filth, nudity, and obscene content.
Rakhi Sawant further informed that she has approached the Bombay High Court to take strict action. She said that she will fight against CBFC and teach the board a lesson. She said that the court should take the screening responsibility in their hands and remove the censor board from the country.
