The rumour mills have been working overtime. Just last week, there was talk that Shekhar Kapur had signed Hrithik Roshan for his next project, an Indo-U.S. collaboration. Also, a section of the press went wild, speculating that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has signed Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai for his next project, titled BAJIRAO MASTANI. But in an exclusive chat with this writer, Rakesh Roshan has denied the developments. Here's quoting him verbatim: I'm amused by the kind of rumours gaining momentum. Strangely, people don't even cross check with us before reporting such irresponsible stuff. Let me clarify once and for all that there's not an iota of truth to this inattentive reporting. Neither has Hrithik signed Shekhar or Sanjay's films, nor has he been approached for either of the projects. Currently shooting his ambitious project KOI MIL GAYA at a studio in Mumbai, Guddu-ji [as Roshan Sr. is affectionately known as] has plans of releasing his film in August. The film is 90% complete and we're aiming for August 8, 2003 release, he tells me. Incidentally, the special effects are also being done simultaneously [KOI MIL GAYA promises to be a sci-fi flick!], so as to avoid unnecessary waste of time and money later.
