So one is taken by surprise when one hears Viveck Vaswani openly claiming that the music of his new film, DIL VIL PYAAR VYAAR, is not original. Yes, youve indeed heard it right! What Viveck is all set to do is bound to raise eyebrows. I have decided to record 14 songs for the film. But these songs will not be new compositions, but the by-now-famous R.D. Burman numbers that one has heard over the years, he divulges. Viveck has handpicked fourteen of R.D.s best numbers and will remix them with singers Udit, Alka, Sanu The tracks chosen by him include Mere Saamne Wali Khidki Mein, Tere Bina Zindagi Se Koi, O Hasina Zulfowali and so on. He has already recorded five numbers so far and none other than Babloo-da, the trusted lieutenant of R.D. Burman, is handling the music arrangement. Viveck has already entrusted the music rights of the film to H.M.V., since they hold the copyright of these songs. Directed by actor Anant Mahadevan, DIL VIL PYAAR VYAAR stars Madhavan, Mahima Chaudhary, Jimmy Shergill and Hrishitaa Bhatt. Didnt I say a few weeks ago that big stars dont work, big ideas do?
