Readers may be aware that Nawazuddin Siddiqui turned producer with the film titled Miyan Kal Ana, which is directed by his younger brother Shamas Siddiqui. Now we hear that the film is going places and will be travelling to Palm Springs International Film Festival held in California.
It was a well known fact that Miyan Kal Ana was even selected for the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year. Unfortunately, Nawaz couldn't attend the same. However this time around the actor has made sure he takes out time and accompanies his brother for the same. A lot of films are selected in this particular festival however only selected few (to be precise 10) get special screening. Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Miyan Kal Ana is selected for this special screening from India.
Happy about the recent development, Nawazuddin said, "I'm very proud as a producer as the film is getting this kind of response. I never thought about making a film but this subject is so relevant and issue based. Our idea is to highlight the problem which still exists in today's society. It's a proud moment as a brother to see Shamas taking such a bold step of a burning issue like this. It's a daring step. We look forward for some more festival visits and will be screening in India soon."
