The latest reports doing the rounds are that Preity Zinta is to play Sonia Gandhi in Jagmohan Mundras latest venture Sonia. However, nothing has been confirmed. Giving Preity competition for this role is popular Italian actress, Monica Bellucci, who is also a possible contender. Mundra says that he intends to cover the phase in Sonia Gandhis life from 1964-65 to 2005. This movie is base on journalist Rasheed Kidwais best selling book Sonia A Biography. A Britain based company, CEE, has acquired the rights for the film. Jagmohan Mundra is known for his women-centric themes. He has just directed Aishwarya Rai in Provoked. Extremely excited about the project, he considers Sonia to be a multi-faceted, remarkable woman and this movie will be a tribute to her.
