With Apex court granting stay order for the rape case plaguing Madhur Bhandarkar, the biggest beneficiary has turned out to be his film Heroine. The Kareena Kapoor starrer is back on track as the film resumed its shooting yesterday.
"There were quite some nervous moments for Madhur Bhandarkar during last few weeks ever since the talks started about an impending trial. That could have possibly disturbed its shooting schedule and worse; Madhur wouldn't have been in his best frame of mind. Since so much is at stake with Heroine, the last thing Madhur would have wanted was his personal problems to plague the film's shoot", says a close associate of the director.
On the other hand, for Kareena too it was quite important to get back on the sets soon since post Agent Vinod, time was ripe for her to get into a role which was tailor made for her. Since insiders are already claiming that a National Award is pretty much on the anvil for her with this film, it was all the more important for Kareena as well as Madhur to give their best.
"Fortunately Court's relief has come at just the right time because for next few months at the least, Madhur can solely concentrate on the film", the associate adds, "Since this is going to be a mega 35 day long schedule that would go till May end, a major portion of the film would be completed by then. Next few weeks are going to be very crucial for Heroine."
Fortunately for Kareena too, the postponing of Talaash has come as a blessing in disguise since now she can concentrate solely on Heroine.
When contacted, Madhur admitted that current development have been a huge relief. He said, "The honourable court's decision to stay proceedings is really welcome. Now I am back to shooting Heroine. Everyone is really charged up about the shoot and we are going to make the most out of this schedule."
