What started off as mere digs taken by two popular stars in interviews and social media blew into a full-fledged legal controversy at the start of 2017. The infamous Hrithik Roshan – Kangna Ranaut case has finally reached a conclusion but it seems to have ended with an anti-climax of sorts.
Police files NIL on impostor case in the Hrithik Roshan – Kangna Ranaut controversyThe Cyber Crime Cell which was apparently investigating about a certain impostor under the email id hroshan@email.com has been unable to trace any kind of evidence about the person who has been using the said email id. Reportedly, after a thorough investigation, the police officials have decided to file the NIL report. According to recent reports, police have declared the process of investigation to be a dead end as the only data that would have been able to help them in identifying the alleged impostor would have to be retrieved from the US based database.
Explaining about the case, Sanjay Saxena, Joint Commissioner of Police too maintained that they were unable to find any details because of the US based email id and that it would be difficult to understand who has been using the account. However, he further assured that they will be concluding the case with the available evidence.
On the other hand, Rizwan Siddiqui, who represented Kangna’s side in the case, expressed that he is not surprised by the results and added that his client continued to maintain that there was no impostor in the first place.
With Kangna Ranaut allegedly taking a dig at Hrithik Roshan during an interview referring to him as the ‘silly ex’, what followed was the actor taking to social media to respond to her words in a similar style. Soon the war of words turned into a scandalous legal blame-game with both Bollywood stars claiming two different versions about the so called ‘affair’ between the two. While Hrithik vehemently denied any involvement or relationship with Kangna, the latter continued to protest and sent legal notices to the actor for maligning her image. Her lawyer Rizwan continued to add that his client received several emails from Hrithik Roshan which was a proof of their alleged relationship. Soon after, Hrithik Roshan filed a complaint at the BKC Cyber Crime branch about a certain impostor who has been sending emails under his name.
As of now, the police authorities have decided to close the case with both parties walking away, with them neither facing victory nor defeat in this matter.
