Pakistani consulate to grace ATHWS music launch

The music of Anil Sharma's magnanimous multi-starrer Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo will be released in Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on Monday, September 20. The vice-president of India, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat will be present on the auspicious occasion. And that's not all. Pakistani consulate officers will also grace the music launch event. That should put an end to all the speculation making rounds that the movie is an anti-Pak movie. On the contrary, the film is a genuine effort to cement the Indo-Pak relations further, which have been on an upswing in the recent times. It shows how India and Pakistan come together and join hands to fight against terrorism. Also as against talked about in a section of media, ATHWS was never a war film but is a relationship based story, which deals with the bonding between a grandfather and his grandson played by Amitabh Bachchan and Bobby Deol. Akshay Kumar too plays an important role in the film. It can be recollected that Anil Sharma's last couple of films - Gadar and The Hero were tagged as anti-Pak films in the media though they were far from it. In fact both the films showed Pakistan in a positive light. The former is remembered for Sunny Deol's heavy-duty dialogue where he mouthed Pakistan Zindabad while in the latter, Deol elevated the Pakistani flag and saluted it with much respect. National Award winner musician Anu Malik has composed the music of Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo and has broken his own record by composing the longest runtime song for the film. After composing the 13-minute long Main Kahin Bhi Rahoon in J P Dutta's LOC-Kargil, Malik this time has composed a 21-minute long song, which will appear in 3 separate portions in the film. The film will release in the Diwali week.
