Now Salman film festival

It all began with Sanjay Dutt having three releases back to back — MUNNABHAI M.B.B.S. [December 19, 2003], L.O.C. [December 26, 2003] and PLAN [January 9, 2004]. Sanju’s fourth release, RUDRAKSH, opened in February. Then the Big B had two releases [KHAKEE, AETBAAR] on the same day — January 23. Shah Rukh Khan also faced a similar situation when the much-delayed YEH LAMHE JUDAAI KE [April 9] was released three weeks before his home-production MAIN HOON NA hit the marquee [April 30]. Similarly, Abhishek Bachchan seems to have had three films releasing in three consecutive weeks — RUN [May 14], YUVA [May 21] and HUM TUM [May 28; the Jr. B has a special appearance in the film]. Akshay Kumar also finds himself in a similar situation. While POLICE FORCE opened on May 28 and AAN is scheduled on June 4, yet another film starring the actor, MERI BIWI KA JAWAB NAHIN, has been announced for June 11. The month of June will witness three Big B starrers releasing one after the other — DEV on June 11, LAKSHYA on June 18 and DEEWAAR on June 25. Hold on, this is not the end of the story… We now have three Salman Khan starrers scheduled for release in July. While GARV is slated for release on July 9 and MUJHSE SHAADI KAROGI is confirmed for July 30, there’s a strong possibility that PHIR MILENGE will also make it in July. There seems to be a glut of top actors’ films in the coming weeks. Will the cinegoers rejoice at the prospect of watching so many films of their fav actors in such a short span, only time will tell!
