Indian radio stations may still be struggling to break even, but that hasn't stopped first-time producer-director-writer Sanjay Bhatia from making a film on FM culture called 99.9 FM. The maker prefers not to classify his film into any genre. Classification will make my attempts futile. My film deals with relations that are neither black nor white, like our life, but totally grey. I would call 99.9 FM a relationship-based film. It is set against a radio station where the main protagonist works as a radio jockey. It is set in two hours' duration when a radio programme is aired, explains Bhatia. Bhatia is producing the film along with Nitin Sagar, under their production company 2 Grams. Having just completed a 15-day schedule in Mumbai, Bhatia plans to finish the balance shooting by September. The film is already 40 per cent complete. A major shooting schedule is on in Madh Island, he reveals. The cast of 99.9 FM comprises of models Shahwar Ali, Dipannita Sharma and Raima Sen.
