The deadline of March 31, 2003 has expired. The producers ultimatum to stop all deliveries to distributors from April 1, 2003 has come into effect. The producers associations I.M.P.P.A., W.I.F.P.A., A.M.P.T.P.P. and Guild had come under an umbrella and issued an ultimatum to the distributors organisations, failing which the producers associations were planning to stop all releases from April 1, 2003. However, YEH DIL, which is scheduled to hit the screens on April 4, will release as per schedule. In a telephonic conversation with this writer, K.D. Shorey, the Sr. Vice President of I.M.P.P.A., said that since the deliveries were effected before April 1, the film would release as per schedule. Also, the producers of the film are not members of any of the associations that have come together. Shorey said that the stoppage of all new releases was indefinite, which means that all forthcoming releases, including THE HERO, ANDAZ, STUMPED etc., will be postponed to a latter date.
