Conman Sukesh Chandrakshekar's Rs. 200 crore money laundering case has become the talk of the nation with the names of Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi taking the spotlight. In a shocking turn of events, Nikki Tamboli and Chahatt Khanna's names have cropped up during the investigation.
As it turns out, Nikki Tamboli met the conman allegedly through the accused Pinky Irani. He was reportedly introduced to Tamboli by Irani as Shekhar instead of Sukesh and that he was a South Indian producer. She met him on two occasions at Tihar Jail in Delhi. “During the first meeting in April, 2018, the accused Pinky Irani received an amount to the tune of Rs 10 lakh in cash from Sukesh Chandrasekhar, out of which she gave cash to the tune of Rs. 1.5 lakh to Nikita Tamboli. On the second occasion, after two to three weeks of her first meeting, she went alone to meet Sukesh Chandrasekhar where she was given cash to the tune of Rs 2 lakh and one Gucci Bag by the accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar,” the Enforcement Directorate (ED) stated in its chargesheet, as per India Today report.
Another name is Chahatt Khanna who was also allegedly introduced to Sukesh Chandrashekar by Pinky Irani as Shekhar Redyy “It was further revealed that once in May 2018, Chahat Khanna met accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar inside the Tihar Jail, Delhi at his office, maintained there, for which the accused Pinky Irani gave her Rs 2 lakh in cash and a blue coloured Versace watch,” the ED stated in its chargesheet.
Nikki Tamboli's statement was recorded on December 15, 2021, whereas Chahat Khanna’s statement was reportedly recorded on December 16, 2021.
