What is Nikhil Adavi planning next, after KAL HO NAA HO? Well, Nikhil did tell us that Yash and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions will produce his second film and that he'd continue making films for them as long as they want him to. Now here's some exclusive info on Nikhil's new film. Though the story idea is in the germination stages, Nikhil tells me that the film will be a thriller, based in Mumbai. I am in the process of writing the script at the moment. The idea is still in its infancy stages, he smiles. After attempting a film on the lives of Indians living in the Big Apple, Nikhil's new film will now look at the life of a bunch of urban kids living in Mumbai. People associate Mumbai-based films with films like SATYA, but my film will be in the milieu of DIL CHAHTA HAI. It's about urban boys getting into trouble and solving the issue, he reveals the gist. So, will the film star established names? Right now, it's difficult to say who'd star in it. But, yes, it will star known names. Once I return from the Berlin Film Fest, I'll immerse myself completely in the script before I start filming it by the end of this year, Nikhil states. While KAL HO NAA HO boasted of rich music, Nikhil is not very sure of the kind of music his second film will have. The songs may be used in the background or they could be proper songs that aspect is yet to be decided upon. But the film will surely have a rich soundtrack, I am sure of that, he proclaims.
