Mukesh Bhatt is a brave man. Well, every producer is actually. Jokes apart, the enterprising film-maker is ready to collide with ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA on 8 July. In fact, MURDER 2 had staked claim on this date initially, while ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA was shifted to this date only recently. But Bhatt is in no mood to budge and shift to another date.
"MURDER 2 is all set for 8 July. Since READY and MURDER 2 have been acquired by the same distribution firm [Ponty Chadha of Wave], we have conveyed to them to retain the same chain of theatres as READY. That film is expected to start with a bang and is likely to stay put in theatres for 4/5 weeks non-stop. Which means we don't have to worry about getting the right theatres and show timings," Bhatt says.
That also explains why Bhatt is launching the theatrical trailer of the film with READY. "Salman is the darling of the masses and so is Emraan. We are expecting to create a huge impact with the first promo itself. Besides the common distributor for these two films, we also have Bhushan Kumar being connected with both. While he produces READY, he's got the music rights of MURDER 2 with him. Hence, this strategy of launching the first promo with READY seems most convenient," Bhatt divulges.
