Subhash Ghai's company Mukta Arts has now launched its first multiplex Mukta A2 Cinemas in Baroda. The 4 screen multiplex is equipped with Baroda's first ever 3-D digital screen and an Exclusive Velvet Lounge with Recliner Seats. The producer-director tweeted yesterday, "Very happy and proud today!! Mukta Cinemas takes its first step with the launch of Mukta A2 Cinemas @ Baroda!!"
We got in touch with Mr.Tolu Bajaj, who heads the Distribution and Exhibition business of Mukta Arts, to get some more details. Speaking about the chain of multiplexes, Mr.Bajaj said, "Mukta Arts is proud to launch its chain of multiplexes Mukta A2 Cinemas with the first multiplex being launched in Baroda yesterday. Around September we will be launching our second multiplex in Ahmedabad and by the end of the year we have plans to launch 2 more multiplexes in Bhopal and Vishakapatnam."
Speaking about the strategy adopted, Mr. Bajaj said, "We are providing world class service at an affordable price. The pricing is slightly lower than other multiplexes and we are focussing on smaller towns first."
Mukta Arts has been in the distribution and exhibition business for a while now and with this chain of multiplexes they only plan to make their foothold in the industry even stronger.
