Action co-ordinator cum director Tinu Verma was nervous when the censors were viewing MAA TUJHHE SALAAM on January 14. Since the film has been directed by an action co-ordinator, the censors would suggest extensive cuts in the action scenes, Tinu thought. But the censors did not object to a single action scene in the film. The reaction after the screening was overwhelming, an excited Tinu tells me. There was speculation in the film industry that the film might not hit the theatres on January 25, since it had not been cleared by the censors. A few people were also of the opinion that the film might be held up by the censors due to its explosive theme. But the film has been cleared with two minor cuts. While you are reading this item, Sunny Deol and Tabu are participating in a song picturisation for the film. A portion of this song could not be picturised earlier since Tabu was unwell. Meanwhile, the terms offered by the exhibitors to the distributors of M.T.S. are unheard of in recent times. The craze for the film, especially in North India, is unparalleled.
