Actor Aashish Chanana has turned producer and has launched Media Factory, a film production company on the lines of major Hollywood studios. Media Factory will be aimed at a broad audience both in India and abroad. The company aims to produce five films in a year and will start the shooting of its first film Dreams from September 15th. The launch party of this movie will be held tonite. The budget of the film is estimated to be Rs. 4 crores and will be released in February 2004. Media Factory has also tied up with a Thai company for co-producing an English film, Mission Bangkok which will be shot in Thailand and China. Media Factory will also produce a Hinglish movie, Namaste America, targeted at second-generation NRIs. It will be shot entirely in the United States and is based on a story written by Indian-American writer Steven Patel.
