MAIN MADHURI DIXIT BANNA CHAHTI HOON has been postponed by one week. The film was scheduled for release on October 3. In fact, theatres had been booked and the pre-release publicity, in newspapers and on television, had gathered momentum. But the producers [Ram Gopal Varma and Manmohan Shetty's Entertainment One] decided to call off the release on Wednesday, October 1. The producers conveyed their decision to the distributors on Wednesday noon, who in turn called the exhibitors to shift the release by one week. The reason for the postponement was attributed to its clash with the two biggies -- BAGHBAN and KHEL. That's true, Ramu confirmed, When our distributors viewed the film two days ago, they were of the opinion that the film has all it takes to attain success at the box-office. With two more films scheduled on October 3 [BAGHBAN, KHEL], the attention was bound to get divided. Getting the right theatres was another issue. So, MAIN MADHURI DIXIT BANNA CHAHTI HOON will now make it on October 10. Incidentally, three films scheduled for October 10 revolve around female protagonists Urmila [PINJAR], Antra Mali [MAIN MADHURI DIXIT BANNA CHAHTI HOON] and Sushmita Sen [SAMAY].
