Popular Marathi film superstar and Hindi film comedian Laxmikant Berde passed away at 2.45 am this morning following kidney failure. The actor was 50 and is survived by his actress-wife Priya Arun and two children. He was not keeping well for almost a month now and was just recently discharged from hospital. Laxmikant Berde has many Marathi hits to his credit. He was introduced in Hindi films by Sooraj Barjatya with Maine Pyar Kiya. His other popular Hindi films include Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Mere Sapno Ki Rani, Arzoo, etc. His last Hindi film will be Keshu Ramsay's upcoming multi-starrer Insan.
