Almost two months ago, this writer broke the news of Govind Nihalani planning to start DEV with Amitabh Bachchan and Om Puri. The balance cast is still undecided, Nihalani had revealed then. But the young pair has been finalized. The film will star the KHUSHI combination of Kareena Kapoor and Fardeen Khan along with the two veterans. The film will roll in February-end, Nihalani divulges, adding that we've yet to finalize a few more links of the set-up.
There's talk that A.R. Rahman will compose the music of the film [Rahman had composed the songs of Nihalani's earlier film THAKSHAK]. But the senior film-maker clarifies that he hasn't signed Rahman on the dotted line yet. DEV will be produced by Nihalani's production company Udbhav Dreamzone P. Ltd and presented by Manmohan Shetty's Entertainment One.
