The legendary actor par excellence Anupam Kher is in the seventh heaven these days and has all the reasons in the world to be so. The reason? Well, his Hollywood film Silver Linings Playbookhas been the talk of the town as well as the toast of all the award ceremonies ever since the word go.
The latest update is that, Kher attended the prestigious 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards ceremony with the likes of Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Tucker and Jacki Weaver, all of whom shared the table with him and Kiron Kher. Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Kher said, “Attending the Screen Actors Guild Awards was one of the highlights of my career. To be in the midst of all the actors whom one has admired is a great feeling in itself. Winning or losing was not on the menu. Getting nominated itself was such a prestigious thing. I have to mention here that I saw how they applaud for everybody’s performance, irrespective of whether they won or lose, this is something that we are lagging behind. Overall, I am extremely happy to be a part of this.”
Even though Kher was nominated along with the film’s starcast in the ‘Best Film’ category, the award was eventually won by Argo. Even as he is readying for the February 24’s big Oscar night, he said that Silver Linings Playbook has been a breakthrough project for him.
