Kapil Sharma attends charity event for Yuvraj Singh

Kapil Sharma has been rushing through the shootings of ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ to create a bank of episodes before he leaves for London for a very special cause.

Kapil will be attending a charity event in aid of cancer organized by cricketer Yuvraj Singh. Says Kapil emotionally, “Yuvraj is a cancer survivor. Unfortunately my father couldn’t survive the disease. When Yuvi told me about the auction event in London I had to attend even if it meant added pressure on my schedules.”

Kapil has been shooting round the clock so that he can leave for London for the charity event on July 14.

What makes this trip special is that his mother would be accompanying him. Warmly the son says, “This is my mother’s first trip outside India and very special for me. She had a choice of getting the visa done in Mumbai or Delhi. I asked her to join me in Mumbai, so we could spend some time together. Sadly I’ve no time as I’m working longer hours to fulfill my commitments.”

In the process of working over-time Kapil had a health setback. His blood pressure dropped and he was advised to slow down. “That, unfortunately is not possible. I find myself working longer hours. Besides, my show which needs a major chunk of my time and I also shot for two ads recently,” says Kapil adding that shooting for ads is equivalent of shooting several episodes of Comedy Nights With Kapil all together.

“In the ad that I shot for Honda, there was a whole storyline like a skit. People wonder why the car is not shown in the ad. I say, wait and watch. The people behind these products are far clever than you or me,” Kapil adds.
