Kangna Ranaut’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui claims that police haven’t asked for her laptop

Several reports started circulating recently, which claimed that Kangna Ranaut has been hiding the laptop after the police demanded for the same as a piece of evidence when they summoned her after an FIR was filed by Hrithik Roshan a few days ago. Now, the lawyer of the National award winning actress, however, has claimed that there have been no such demands from the police and that this is false information fed to the media.

In a recent statement released by Rizwan Siddiqui, he said, "Besides the duty of the Police officer is to file an investigation report in the form of A, B or C Summary report. In any event I am surprised as to on what grounds a media report is being carried that my client's any specific laptop has been demanded by police. No such specific demand has been made yet and the generic notice which was first sent by the Cyber Crime wherein a demand of computer, laptop and phone etc. was made by them has been duly withdrawn and instead a request letter has been sent to my client in accordance with the provisions of Section 160 of CRPC."

The lawyer further added, "My client who has been shown as a victim in the FIR has never shown her dissent in recording her statement before the police. However as per the provisions of law she wants to first verify the contents of the FIR and the statement made by Mr. Hrithik Roshan before the police, wherein he has also mentioned the name of her sister. The reasons of mentioning the name of her sister needs to be duly ascertained."

The Hrithik Roshan - Kangna Ranaut legal battle started over a month ago, after the former sent a legal notice to the Queen actress over her comment on a certain 'silly ex' she referred to during a press meet. Amongst several accusations that were reported, there was also a mention of an FIR that was filed by Hrithik Roshan in December 2014 against an impostor who has been interacting with the Krrish actor's fans and colleagues on a fake id. Further, Hrithik Roshan also allegedly went on to file another FIR a few days ago which mentioned that the impostor has even been conversing with Kangna Ranaut after which the police summoned Kangna for recording the statement and verifying the evidence.

With the recent reports also claiming about certain e-mails or photographs of Kangna Ranaut going public, there has also been a copy of yet another notice by Rizwan Associates that is being circulated. According to the same, Hrithik Roshan has been alleged of misusing 'confidential' mails and photographs of a private conversation which was shared by Kangna, with malafide intentions. It also claims that Hrithik has apparently threatened Kangna in the legal notice sent by him and him of indulging in criminal acts to frighten her further.

Lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui had previously also mentioned that the only way the two Bollywood celebrities can call it a truce is if Hrithik Roshan decides to respond to the counter notices sent by Kangna's legal team.
