South superstar Kamal Hassan has been awarded with an honorary doctorate grade by the Chennai-based Sathyabama University. He has been bestowed with this honor for his vast contribution towards the film industry.
Undoubtedly one of the most versatile actors of the country, Kamal Hassan started his acting career as a child artist in 1960 and has worked in more than 130 films since then. He debuted in Hindi films with the superhit Ek Duje Ke Liye and subsequently worked in many films like Sanam Teri Kasam, Sagar, Giraftaar, Chachi 420 and Hey Ram. Currently he his completing his Hindi-Tamil bilingual Mumbai Xpress co-starring Manisha Koirala.
