Actor cum writer Saurabh Shukla desired to direct a film some day. If you recall, we were the first to report that he had signed Sunny and Bobby Deols cousin Abhay for his directorial debut, which was to be produced by the producers of DIL PE MAT LE YAAR. But Saurabh, aka Kallu Mama of SATYA, has decided to put the project on hold for the time being and is now starting two projects. The first will star Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Sushmita Sen in the lead and the second venture, to be produced by Vinay (ANDAZ APNA APNA) Shukla, will star Vinays son Amod in the lead role. Yes, Ive had sittings with Amit-ji. I even narrated the story to him, but the project is in the infancy stages right now, Saurabh tells me, adding in the same breath, Since Amit-ji is out of town right now, a clearer picture will emerge once he returns in June. Believe me, I havent spoken to either Madhuri or Sushmita about the film. Will Big Bs friend Kirit Trivedi produce the project? Well, I really dont know who will produce the film officially. Actually, its one big group and who handles the project eventually will be decided once matters are streamlined, Saurabh divulges. In the meantime, the Vinay Sinha-produced film, starring Amod, will star a new face as the leading lady. It will be launched in June.
