Amidst high octane action thrillers on global terrorism, Kabir Khan has once again decided to take us back in time and tell yet another heroic tale of citizens who are on a mission to tackle issues related to national security.
From his Kabul Express days to Ek Tha Tiger, Kabir Khan has often portrayed stories with elements of terrorism or problems that prove to be a threat to our nation. So, it comes as no surprise when the filmmaker revealed that he will be making a film on World War but he refused to divulge any more details stating that it's too early to talk about it. However, we hear that the film in question will actually be a film version of his 1997 documentary The Forgotten Army. It is being said, that this World war drama will be inspired from the real life incidents of World War II and will be portrayed from the perspective of two brave soldiers from the Indian National Army, Captain Lakshmi Sehgal and Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon. It has also been learnt that one of the most prominent characters in the film will also be Subhash Chandra Bose.
The star cast for the film is yet to be finalized, considering that, Kabir Khan is busy with the shoot schedule of Bajrangi Bhaijaan which stars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Also his film Phantom starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif is in its final stages of production as it is set to hit the silver screens on August 28, 2015.
