After creating buzz at Berlin Film Festival, Sundance and Cannes Film Festival, The Devil's Double directed by Lee Tamahori (earlier directed Bond Film Die Another Day, Once We Were Warriors and XXX 2) starring Demonic Cooper is all set to release in India and Pakistan.
The film has been brought to India by Rakesh Jain of JRD Films. The Devil's Double is based on the true story of Latif Yahia, an Iraqi soldier who was forced to become a body double for Uday Hussein, the son of ruling tyrant Saddam Hussein.
The film is releasing on July 29 in US and on August 12 in rest of the world. However, Indian audience will be able to see the film either on 1st week of August or on 12th Aug along with worldwide theatrical release.
The film that is one of the most awaited films of this year will have a wide release in four languages (English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu) all across the country.
Says, Rakesh Jain, "I was really keen on getting this film to India. Mel Gibson has bought the rights of the film to release it in UK and Australia. The kind of response the film has got at all the festivals is tremendous. I am so glad that fans who have been waiting to see this masterpiece will not have to wait for too long now."
