Jhamu Sughandh, the name associated with big Hindi films like Lagaan, Rangeela, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, 1947 Earth, Aks, Filhaal, Chachi 420, et al. is all set to plunge into Tollywood (the Bengali film industry). After meeting renowned Bengali star Prosenjit (Choker Bali) Sughandh has decided to invest a whopping Rs 150 million to produce 6 Bengali films. The producer feels that Bengali films have a good market and if promoted well can even be taken to international levels breaking the regional boundaries. Presently Jhamu has several big Hindi films on his hands to be directed by prolific directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Nikhil Advani, Priyadarshani, Vipul Shah and Rajiv Menon. Also he will be presenting Budhadeb Dasgupta's next film starring Madhuri Dixit and Anil Sengupta's next starring Bhumika Chawla.
