Hwang In Yeop, Heo Joon Ho and Seo Hyun Jin confirmed to star in upcoming drama about law

South Korean actors Hwang In Yeop, Heo Joon Ho and Seo Hyun Jin have become the confirmed official cast of the upcoming SBS drama Why Oh Soo Jae?

The story of Why Oh Soo Jae? is about the coldhearted lawyer Oh Soo Jae who becomes empty after only chasing success, and law school student Gong Chan, who isn’t afraid to do anything in order to protect her. A wrong decision causes the direction of their lives to change, and the mystery romance drama follows the story of them trying to escape the bottomless pit they fall down.

As reported by Korean tabloid Soompi, Seo Hyun Jin has previously been confirmed to play lawyer Oh Soo Jae, who becomes determined after overcoming her regrets. She is the youngest partner at the leading TK law firm and an ace everyone acknowledges. She’s competitive and unafraid of the world. Oh Soo Jae has run desperately to achieve “perfect” success, but her life goes terribly awry when she makes a wrong decision while believing that it’s an opportunity for success. However, rather than regretting her choice, she becomes tougher with malice and aims to go even higher.

Hwang In Yeop will be taking on the role of law school student Gong Chan, who knows how to understand people and empathize with them, reaches out to Oh Soo Jae after her downfall. Although he appears to live a smooth-sailing life, he also has a painful past. Gong Chan begins to experience a change after fatefully meeting Oh Soo Jae. Gong Chan eventually makes Oh Soo Jae, who is hard on herself, realize what love is, and viewers can anticipate Hwang In Yeop and Seo Hyun Jin’s romantic chemistry.

Veteran actor Heo Joon Ho will be playing TK law firm’s chairman Choi Tae Guk, who is true to his own desires. He’s a figure who openly crosses the boundary of good and evil without any hesitation if it’s to materialize his desires. Choi Tae Guk is also keeping an eye on Oh Soo Jae, who is acting loyal to him while hiding her true feelings, by keeping her close to him. One of the interesting points to look out for in the drama will be the tense confrontations and acting synergy between Heo Joon Ho and Seo Hyun Jin.

Earlier this year, it was also confirmed that Bae In Hyuk would be joining the project as Choi Yoon Sang, a sophomore at Seojoong University’s law school and the second son of chairman Choi Tae Guk. When he was studying to retake his college entrance exam, he developed a crush on his tutor Oh Soo Jae, and he reunites with her at Seojoong University’s legal clinic where she has become a professor.

Though viewers are already anticipating the chemistry between Seo Hyun Jin, Hwang In Yeop, and Heo Joon Ho. The legal drama Why Oh Soo Jae? is slated to premiere in the first half of 2022.
