After making a mark in Bollywood with some unconventional roles, Huma Qureshi will now star in Ayushmann Khurrana's music video. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana planned to pursue his passion for singing after receiving rave reviews for his previous songs in Bollywood and has now teamed up with Huma Qureshi for the music video of his next single.
Ayushmann Khurrana debuted in Bollywood as an actor and singer with Vicky Donor and has even sung in Nautanki Saala. Now, Ayushmann will be composing his next single titled 'Mitti Di Khushboo' which is about reminiscing fond memories and homecoming. Huma Qureshi will be playing the role of a village belle who will be in love with Ayushmann's character. Ayushmann Khurrana, on the other hand, will be seen as the suave and charming man who returns home after staying abroad for a while.
Talking about roping in Huma Qureshi for it, Ayushmann revealed that he ideally wanted a Punjabi girl to play the role in the music video. He further mentioned that though Huma is not a Punjabi, she fits into the character perfectly and hence she was asked to be a part of it. In fact, he was impressed with Huma Qureshi's performance in the film Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and hence approached her for the role. According to Ayushmann, Huma loved the song so much when she heard it, that she immediately agreed to be a part of it.
The video in question will be shot in Mumbai and Thailand. Directed by Amit Roy, the music will be composed Rochak Kohli who has previously joined hands with Ayushmann Khurrana for his superhit songs like 'Paani Da Rang' and 'Saadi Galli'. 'Mitti Di Khusboo' will be releasing by the end of September.
