Best known for his role as Raghav Oberoi in the Hindi soap opera Humse Hai Liife, Yaariyan lead actor Himansh Kohli is all set to win hearts again with his next college romance, Sweetie Desai weds NRI. Actress Zoya Afroz of The Expose fame will be starring opposite Himansh in this rom com Produced by Grand Motion Pictures and Asmiya Productions. Shooting of this has been done in foreign locations and interiors of Baroda, directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala, the movie is scheduled to come in first week of August.
While Zoya Afroz plays a happy go lucky girl (Sweetie), himansh plays a simple Gujrat guy from Baroda and his character is on the lines of Saif Ali Khan's from Kal Ho Naa Ho. The USP of the film is that it is a clean family entertainer and has some very funny moments.
What backs the movie up is the strong support from Shamiana Short Film Club's Cyrus Dastur and director Hasnain Hyderabadwala. Cyrus Dastur became a prominent name in the Indian theatre circuit with his flagship production When God Said Cheers!! co-starring Tom Alter, Cyrus directed as well as acted in the play. The play is one of the biggest hits on the Indian Theatre parallel circuit. The production has steadfastly gone from strength to strength in the last six years.
For Hasnain, known for doing commercial cinema like The Train and The Killer and by a bold turn taken with Ya Rab, based on religious fundamentalists in Islam, He is all set to entertain the audience with this complete different genre
