A section of the trade press had reported that Tips had relinquished the music rights of the Sunny Deol starrer MAA TUJHE SALAAM owing to differences between Ramesh Taurani and the producer of the film, Mahendra Dhariwal. The report stated that the producer wanted the music company to hike the price, but the music company was in no mood to bow down to the demands. Ramesh Taurani denied the news flatly when we contacted him, "The news is totally false! The press should not write such news without verifying it. All I can say is that the music rights of MAA TUJHE SALAAM vest with Tips." The producer of MAA TUJHE SALAAM, Mahendra Dhariwal, was even more furious about the report. "I am planning to take action against the publication for misreporting the facts, since it has affected the prospects of my film. There is no dispute with Tips," he yelled. Some brains are working overtime, for sure!
