Veteran director and producer Harmesh Malhotra passed away on the 22nd November following a cardiac arrest. He was recently on the Oscar jury that nominated Shahrukh Khans Paheli. Even then he was said to be keeping in poor health. A career spanning over thirty years and over thirty films, he had made some memorable films like Nagina and Dulhe Raja. He even directed the original Mangal Pandey way back in 1982 that starred Shatrughan Sinha. His last film was the much delayed Khullam Khulla Pyar Karen starring Govinda and Preity Zinta that released earlier this year.
