Gulshan Grover features in PETA’s campaign against leather cruelty

Bollywood News

Even though Gulshan Grover aka the proverbial 'Bad Man' of Bollywood hasn't been seen too much on the silver screen of late, that hasn't stopped him from making his presence felt (read 'doing his bit') when it comes to animal cruelty.

In a recent ad that he shot for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), Gulshan is seen surrounded by five bikini clad models grabbing his faux-leather jacket, with the apt caption 'Whatever Your Pleasure, Make It Pleather, Not Leather'. This campaign got released just ahead of 'Amazon India Fashion Week' (March 25-29, 2015). Through this campaign, Gulshan Grover and PETA are planning to raise the awareness of the cruelty that cows, buffalo, goats and other animals endure before their skin is turned into shoes, bags and other accessories and to encourage people to buy only synthetic leather.

Speaking about the same, Gulshan said, "When you shop leather, do you realize that somebody else is paying for it? Somebody else is paying with their lives. Wear something that you are looking killer [in] but you're not killing anyone."

While the said campaign was shot in Pico Studios in Los Angeles by Ash Gupta of Studio838 and 838 Media Group, the wardrobe styling was done by Pauline Leonard for Cloutier Remix, and Jasmine Ashcroft did the make-up, which featured Hourglass Cosmetics.
