Rumour : A confidential source informs us that Govinda has decided to revamp his comedy image and attempt serious roles. To start with, he has bought the remake rights of a super hit Telugu film and has also signed the director of the original version to direct the Hindi version. We are told that he'll be producing the film in partnership with another producer. Could you please verify the news? Shashi Sinha (spokesperson for Govinda) : From what I know, Govinda has just bought the story rights of a successful Telugu film, which had done record business in the south last year. Govinda liked the story of the film immensely and decided to go for it. But that does not mean that he has any intention of producing it as well. Right now, the development is too premature to comment on.
