It is original, multi-lingual and upbeat and captures the moods of each of the characters of the movie. The main theme tracks of FLAVORS have been composed by Leslie Lewis, pioneer of Indipop and frontman of the popular band Colonial Cousins. And the very talented California-based composer Mahesh Shankar has composed five scintillating songs that range from fusion and dance to modern jazz. FLAVORS is a truly unique and eclectic experience with no remixes, no cover versions, and most important, is not stereotypical. The fact that this album has been put together by creative musicians from different parts of the world, makes it a truly New Age, truly international album that can appeal to a global audience. Some of the artists who have come together in this album are classical vocalist Dr Shobha Raju from Hyderabad, fusion artist Sandhya Sanjana from Amsterdam, upcoming New York artist Omar Alexander, vocalist Tanvi who is a regular for the world-renowned composer A R Rahman, and the multi-talented Sita Menon who penned the lyrics. The launch of the soundtrack is a prelude to the feature film that releases on July 16 across USA & Canada. FLAVORS has had great success at prestigious international film festivals around the world and promises to bring a refreshing change in the Indo-American genre. FLAVORS, written and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, is a fresh, witty look at contemporary Indo-American life. It is a delightful, quirky ensemble comedy with colorful storylines that ingeniously come together, highlighting the humor in everyday life. The music of FLAVORS reflects the diversity of its ensemble cast. The tone is young, but classic; modern but ethnically rooted; Indian, yet truly international. Which is why the music ranges from rock, pop, Latino, hip hop, jazz, Indian and Western classical. This is fusion, in its truest sense! Each song of the movie has its own special identity.
