Feroz Khan is in the midst of giving finishing touches to his latest project JANASHEEN, starring Fardeen Khan, Celina Jaitley and Feroz Khan himself. It's a Rs. 17 crore film, Khan Sr. tells me, Shooting on the foreign soil was a necessity; it was the demand of the script. We shot twice in Australia and once in Thailand. The penultimate song will now be picturised in Saudi Arabia. Going back a bit, Khan had announced the film with Ajay Devgan, Aishwarya Rai and Fardeen in the lead. Is JANASHEEN the same project? That was a different project altogether. That didn't materialize for certain reasons. That's when I started work on JANASHEEN, Khan Sr. clarifies. Incidentally, JANASHEEN has music by five composers. Anand Raaj Anand has composed three songs, while Biddu, Mrinal Sampad, Channi Singh and Sukhwinder Singh have composed one song each. I'm not undervaluing anyone's abilities; they're all competent enough, Khan Sr. states, But I've worked with multiple music directors in the past too [in QURBANI, Kalyanji-Anandji and Biddu scored the music]. In this case [JANASHEEN], I never planned it that way. It just happened. This time around, Khan Sr. has joined hands with Sahara India Pariwar. We would be distributing the film together. That's the understanding between us. They are very disciplined people and we need more such people in the industry, he says.
