Vashu Bhagnani has just returned from the U.S., after completing the shooting of his latest flick OUT OF CONTROL. Starring Ritesh Deshmukh with BAYWATCH girl Brande Rodericks and Hrishita Bhatt, the film-maker, in an exclusive chat with us, shed light on his latest project. Over to Vashu: OUT OF CONTROL is a romantic comedy. It tells the story of a young boy [Ritesh], who is caught between two wives. No, the story is not an extension of BIWI No. 1. Ritesh is forced into both the marriages, once due to unfortunate circumstances and the second time by his family. How he manages to deal with both of them forms the crux of the story. The English and Hindi versions of OUT OF CONTROL will be different from each other, to an extent. The English version will be of 1.45 hours' duration, while the Hindi version will be of 2.30 hours. There will only be two songs in the English film. The combined length of both the songs would be 5 minutes, while the length of the songs in the Hindi version would be 20 minutes. Initially, I had two choices for OUT OF CONTROL, Tusshar Kapoor or Ritesh. But I had already worked with Tusshar in two of my previous projects. I felt that it would lead to over-exposure if I chose Tusshar again. Besides, Ritesh fitted the bill perfectly. We wanted a female lead who would pull in the crowds, so I decided to cast the leading lady from foreign shores. My first choice was always Brande, but I could not meet her. Then I had a talk with Pamela Anderson, but things did not materialise. But when Brande got the message, we fixed up an appointment and things clicked from the very start. She read the script and was impressed with it. But before she said 'yes' for the role, she asked for the DVDs of all my previous works. She went through them and then decided to do the film. Brande is from BAYWATCH and her biggest asset is her sex appeal. We see shades in her character as the film progresses. There are a lot of transformations in Brande's character as she is impressed and influenced by Ritesh. So she wears Indian outfits in parts of the film.
