Dilip Kumar’s brothers send him legal notice

en Bollywood News Dilip Kumar’s brothers send him legal notice

Last time, Bollywood's legendary actor Dilip Kumar was in the news because of his religious visit to Hazra, alongwith his dutiful wife Saira Bano. This time, he is in the news again, but for the wrong reasons. His brothers (Ehsaan Khan and Aslam Khan) who have sent him a legal notice, accused him of failing to keep his word of providing them with accommodation in the building built by demolishing their Pali Hill bungalow, which the duo shared with him for almost 60 years.

Besides this, the brothers have also allegedly complained that they were not paid the monthly maintenance as promised when they were convinced to move out in the year 2006. The notice states that while Ehsaan was promised a 1,200 sq ft apartment in the new building, Aslam was to get an 800 sq ft flat. In addition to this, they also have alleged that they are yet to get the promised monthly maintenance of Rs. 60,000 that was to be deposited in a joint account. The now-financially broke brothers who have all this while been living in a friend's two-bedroom house (with financial help from friends and others) on Hill Road, have only a week to vacate the property. Talking about their present day condition, Ehsaan said that in less than a week, they will have nowhere to go and that they have no money left with them. He added that they were only asking for their share and that they don't want to fight, but want justice. He also claimed that the property in question was not bought from Dilip Kumar's earnings alone.

Meanwhile, Saira Bano, who confirmed receiving the notice, decided not to talk anything to the media by stating that it's a family matter that should not be discussed in public.

Even though the said bungalow has now been demolished, there's no sign of the promised multistorey building, which the brothers were told will take three years to complete. During this period, the developers (Sharyans Resources Limited and Gold Beam Constructions Private Limited) committed to pay them maintenance. The notice has also been sent to the developers as well.
